I wish to mention in detail the names of various land records and land measurement terminology followed in each State in India. Apart from it, the details of States issuing Non Encumbrance Certificates are also mentioned herewith

Non Encumbrance Certificates
Non Encumbrance Certificates are Extracts issued by the Registration Department which states the details of various transactions which have taken place in a particular piece of land/Property for certain specific period of time. Transactions like Sale Deed, Gift Deed, Settlement Deed, Release Deed, Lease Deed, Mortgage Deed, Mortgage Discharge Receipts, Court Attachment details, Income Tax Attachment details etc shall be reflected in a Non Encumbrance Certificate. Only in the State of Tamil Nadu, the details relating to Power of Attorney transactions executed after 1st Nov, 2010 also appear in the Non Encumbrance Certificate. However the details relating to execution of General Power of Attorney do not appear in other states.
